We will be off the blog for a bit as we tend to some new duties! :) But, you know where to find us!

HomeSweetHome!
We have talked to many of you already, and this post is a bit delayed, but we are home safe and sound. The weather in Chicago and some misplaced bags couldn't hold us down. Jaden was amazing the entire way! Thanks for all your kind words and support along the way!

Welcome home! Call when you get a chance. I know you're busy busy busy, but I can't wait to meet that little man of yours!
ReplyDeleteAlison - I am so happy that you and your family are home. Have a wonderful Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteI have two things to share with you. I found these years ago and I believe I was meant to share them.
"Not flesh of my flesh, not bone of my bone, but, still miraculously, my own. Never forget for a single minute that you didn't grow under my heart, but in it"
the other is an old Dear Abby column from eons ago:
LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD
Once there were two women
Who never knew each other.
One you do not remember,
The other you call mother.
Two differnt lives
Shaped to make yours one.
One became your guiding star,
The other became your sun.
The first gave you life,
And the second tuaght you to live
in it.
The first gave you a need for love
And the second was there to give
it.
One gave you a nationality,
The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent,
The other gave you an aim.
One gave you emotions,
The othe calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile,
The other dried your tears.
One gave you up -
It was all she could do.
The other prayed for a child
And God led her staright to you.
And now you ask me,
Through your tears,
The age-old queston
Through the years:
Heredity or environment -
Which are you the product of?
Neither, my darling - neither
Just two different kinds of love.
